A businesswoman has revealed how she was rewarded with N500,000 for returning N20 million that was mistakenly paid into her account by a company.
She said the discovered the money was mistakenly transferred to her account when she went to withdraw her salary. She made complain in the bank but they brought some documents for her to sign but she refused.
She has to travelled from Ilorin to Lagos to the company that made the error, meanwhile, her account was frozen since she refused to agree with the banks terms.
On getting to the company she was not allowed entry since she knew to staff thereand she had to wait till the next s she entered with other staff of the company were resuming and reported the situation to the admin officer, who later called the accountant.. He was not aware he made the wrong transfer because he transferred the money for a supply.
When they checked, they came back. The man almost carried her, they went to the bank the next day. The bank manager heard her story, and shesigned some documents for the transfer once the account is unfrozen. left for ilorin in peace and days after the accountant called they they have received their money.
Weeks after the company sent 500,000 back as appreciation and to cover her bills for accommodation and transport. She was weak. She didn’t spend that much, but they were grateful that sincere people still exist.
