According to the Police, the incident occurred at Unguwa Uku of Taurani Local Government Area, LGA, of the state.
This was made known on Friday, December 22, 2023, by the Commissioner of Police, CP Hussaini Gumel.
Gumel, who addressed newsmen, stated that a report was received on December 21 from one Hafizu Salisu that he got a phone call from Daiyanu Abdullahi of Unguwa Uku, Kano, that his brother, Nafi’u Hafiz, is d£ad.
He added that when the brother arrived at the residence at Unguwa Uku, he found several inj¥ries, suspected to be knif£ st@bs, on different parts of the deceased’s bod¥.
The commissioner of police said the investigation led to the arrest of the key suspect, Hafsat Surajo, a housewife in the residence where the deceased lived.
According to him, the suspect confessed to singlehandedly st@bbing the deceased on several parts of his bod¥.
“Her husband, one Dayyabu Abdullahi of the same address, and their gateman, Malam Adamu, were arrested for aiding, packaging and concealing the dead body to give cover up for the culpable homicide,” the CP stated.
Gumel said the investigation led to the recovery of a knif£ with bl%odstains used in committing the crim£.
He added that the suspect would be charged in court after investigations.
