A 69-year-old retired woman, Olaitan Gbenle, has been gruesomely m¥rdered by a yet-to-be-identified a§§ailants in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The deceased, a retired Permanent Secretary with the Oyo State Government, was att@cked and k+lled at her residence along All Saints College Road, Idi Ishin, off NIHORT area of Ibadan between Thursday and Friday last week.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the woman was str@ng¥lated after her a§§ailants ti£d her hands and legs.
She was reportedly found with her ti£d hands and legs on Friday morning while she still had the dress she wore on Thursday on her.
It was learnt that the k+llers came to the deceased’s house a day after she reported to the police that her life was being thr£@tened by some hoodlums who used to smoke marijuana close to her residence.
It was further learnt that the deceased was supposed to have hosted a meeting of the retired permanent secretaries and heads of service on Thursday, November 16, before her gruesome m¥rder.
Police detectives in Oyo State Police Command have begun investigations into the m¥rder case, according to the report.
