A court sitting in Accra, Ghana has ruled on the divorce settlement between former Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan and his ex-wife Gifty Gyan.
The court ruled on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 that the former Black Stars captain is obligated to provide financial support to Gifty Gyan in the form of a monthly stipend of 25,000 Ghana cedis, according to local news reports.
However, this financial assistance does not include specific expenses such as school fees, medical and dental care, flight tickets, and various other childcare costs.
Also, the court ruled that Asamoah Gyan’s mansion located in the United Kingdom be transferred to Gifty Gyan as part of the settlement.
The court also awarded a four-bedroom house situated in Spintex, Accra, two vehicles: a BMW and an Infiniti, to Gifty Gyan.
Additionally, Asamoah Gyan’s land, originally designated for the construction of a filling station, has been assigned to Gifty Gyan.
The ex-couple has three children together and has been in court since 2020.
