In an interview, the senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, explained why men of God give priority to material possessions to advance their ministries.
He claimed that because some ministers have a habit of being surrounded by a large security team and because it is culturally acceptable for people to worship their leaders, these things have been incorporated into the system. Those who choose not to do this will initially pay a price but will ultimately benefit, he claimed.
He continued by saying that this is also because of how p%or and d£stitute the nation is, which leads people to believe that ministers who flaunt their wealth are anointed when they are mostly not.
