A Nigerian dr¥g kingpin, Ogbaugu David Uka aka Iwu masquerading as Pastor Davison, who set up his dr¥g network after arriving in India on a two-month business Visa in 2013, has been arrested by the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau and Film Nagar police.
He was arrested in Hyderabad, India for possession of ec§tasy p#lls on August 16, 2023, while delivering to his known peddlers. It is reported that a total of 264 ec§tasy p#lls worth Rs 10.56 lakhs were recovered from him. Two cell phones were also seized from him.
TSNAB director and Hyderabad Police Commissioner C. V. Anand said that the accused residing in Bangalore was kingpin in dr¥g supply in that city. Anand said, “His property and belongings are worth about ₹4 crore. We are making efforts to have them all seized. He used to frequently travel to Hyderabad. In the recent past, seven of his peddlers were arrested in two different crimes registered at Kachiguda and KPHB”.
We are not entirely sure of the details he shared about himself and his network. We are talking to the Ministry of External Affairs to crosscheck the information shared by him and are also working on a way to control other foreign nationals involved in such offences.”
It is reported that the accused was posing to the general public as pastor and was serving as welfare chairman of the All India Nigerian Students and Community Association. The main functions of association are to arrange bails and other legal assistance to the arrested dr¥g offenders of Nigeria.
The 58-year-old was using fabricated identity cards with fake names to conceal his identity. He was also using a fake visa. The accused took SIM cards on the name of others and was using them for his criminal activities.
