Police operatives serving in Nsukka Area Command of the Enugu State Command, on Monday, August 14, 2023, arrested three pranksters over a viral video.
The suspects identified as Obed Chekwube Ugwuanyi a.k.a. MC Sharp (male), 32, Chinenye Agbo a.k.a. Star Ella Ada (female), 26, and Anastasia Onu (female), 26, were arrested for their involvement in a prank video.
In the viral video, Chinenye was seen being b£at£n, her cloth torn and §tripp£d, and her hair forc£fully §hav£d on the allegation of b£ating up Anastasia, who is Obed’s girlfriend, and giving her a human bit£ on the chest.
According to a statement by the image maker of the command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, preliminary investigation revealed that the trio are, however, claiming that the video, which has generated public outcry and cond£mnation due to the inconceivable a§§ault, inhuman and d£grading treatments meted out on Chinenye as seen in the video, is a prank and meant to garner followers on their social media accounts.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, *CP Ahmed Ammani, fdc*, while cond£mning the act, has ordered the State CID Enugu to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those found culpable, to serve as a deterrent to anyone who may want to perpetrate such an act under the guise of prank.
