President Tinubu believes that preventing corruption is better than curing it —Presidential aide, Ajuri Ngelale

The days of reactively combating corruption, where you wait for the offender to steal a ton of money and amass the kind of wealth that will enable them to effectively have influence over the judicial system to free themselves effectively, are over, according to the president, who believes that prevention is better than cure.

He claimed that the president’s administration would set up a system to both deal with recovering the stolen property and preventing people from embezzling in the first place.

This won’t be a problem for the president, he continued, because he did it when he was the governor of Lagos State by firing the fat cats receiving money without doing any work, otherwise known as “Ghost workers.”
