Abuja-based hotelier accused of k#lling his son after being caught trying to b¥ry him in Kogi State

According to a source, the suspect had invited his son and wife on Sunday, July 23, to his residence but unfortunately, only Timothy honored the invitation.

“We heard there was a misunderstanding between Mr. Philip, Timothy, and his brother. An argument ensued and Timothy’s father, Mr. Philip, h#t him and he coll@psed. Instead of Mr. Philip to take his son who was still conscious after the incident, to the hospital, he drove all the way to Iyale Dekina LGA, Kogi State, to b¥ry him. We gathered that Timothy took his last breath in the car on the way to Kogi State. We were told this all happened in the presence of Timothy’s mom, Grace.

They got to Iyale at around 10pm and as they were about to b¥ry him without a coffin— in a mat, they were intercepted by community members. It was the person who dug the grav£ that alerted community members over what was happening.

Mr. Philip then proceeded to call a pastor who challenged him and insisted that he won’t participate in such an act without Timothy’s wife’s consent. The following day, the pastor called Timothy’s wife to inform her of his passing and urged her to travel down to Kogi to witness his b¥rial. Prior to the call, Timothy’s wife had received a message from anon over the matter but she didn’t believe it

The grieving wife is now visibly in sh%ck as she revealed her husband was hale and hearty before he left their house in Durumi to visit his father, who’s resident in Apo, Abuja. Meanwhile, the matter has been reported at Apo police division, Abuja.

We are surprised over Mr. Philip’s action because his wife is a nurse and owns a clinic. One of the clinic staff who was arrested over the matter explained he referred Timothy’s parents to the National hospital but doesn’t know what happened afterwards. The police called the hospital to confirm if they received any patient that night and it was revealed Timothy wasn’t brought there.”
