Man calls out his girlfriend’s parents for allegedly t£rmin@ting their six-months old pregnancy in Edo

A 24-year-old engineer, Opiri Nelson, has accused the parents of his 19-year-old girlfriend of forcefully t£rmin@ting their six-months old pregnancy in Benin City, Edo State.

Nelson, in a chat with Instablog9ja on Sunday, July 30, said he starting dating Anita Osamede Osadolo about two years ago and she moved in with him in February 2023 after she got pregnant.

“After she moved in with me, I asked her to marry me and she said yes. I took care of her until early this month when her father, Mr Perter Osadolo Osamede, came to arrest me. I was arrested on July 9 and I spent one week in the police station before I was granted bail with the help of my lawyer.

While at the station, police told the father to allow the girl go home with me until she put to birth, but he refused and insisted that he will take her home and take care of her and after she put to birth they will handover my child to me. He was told to make sure nothing happen to the girl or the child and he agreed.

However, two days later, I received a message from Anita informing me that her parents took her to a hospital where they forcefully inj£cted her into forced labour. She was in labour for two days before delivering a stillb%rn baby boy.

I arrested the man and the doctor but after two days, he bailed himself. He started bragging that I can’t do anything. He said that I’m poor and he can never allow his daughter to have my baby or marry me.

This is the second child they are k#lling. The first one was a month and a week old when they t£rmin@ted it in April 2022. I let that go for the sake of peace but he wants to take my silence for granted.

I really feel bad and disorganized. I can’t allow him k#ll my first child just like because he’s richer than me.”
