Operatives of the National Dr¥g Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been accused of f#ring the stray b¥llets that k#lled a two-year-old boy and left his one-year-old brother hospitalized in Asaba, Delta State.
It was gathered that the kids were in their mother’s shop when they were h#t by the stray b¥llets on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
According to human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, the officers while carrying out a raid in the area when they allegedly started sh%%ting sporadically.
The two brothers were h#t by stray b¥llets and were rushed to Federal Medical Center, Asaba, where the older brother gave up the gho§t.
“The NDLEA officers were approached by their father but they jumped into their vehicles and ran away. The man followed them and captured them on camera,” Harrison said.
In the video obtained, the bereaved father was captured driving behind the officers’ van as he repeatedly narrated how the heartbreaking incident occurred.
“He followed them from Asaba to their office in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South LGA of the state,” Harrison added.
