JAMB has released the ‘authentic’ UTME result slip of Anambra student, Mmesoma and insisted that she forg£d her result.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released additional evidence on Tuesday to support its claims that Mmesoma Ejikeme, a candidate for the Anambra State, committed forgery.
Her score for the 2023 UTME was 249. The board released a result slip that it verified as genuine.
The top student in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination had been announced as Ejikeme.
New documents made public by JAMB, however, reveal that Eijkeme’s actual score was 249 rather than the 362 she was parading.
The Board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, released a statement on Tuesday morning in which JAMB insisted that only Mmesoma had displayed a “obsolete” notification slip of all the candidates that sat the 2023 UTME
The candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip for a candidate named “Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle,” who took the UTME in 2021 and scored 138. As a result, the Board wants to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised.
It is also noteworthy that the candidate accidentally identified the legitimate owner of the result she is displaying in her statement when she noted that the QR code on the result slip identified the owner of the relevant result before she peddled a lie in an effort to obscure the truth.
The general public is urged to try to scan the QR code on the result slip to see its actual owner before it was mutilated in order to see the Board’s unchallengeable position regarding this obvious falsehood. It should be noted that each candidate’s UTME results are contained in the QR code, so the information on the result sheet is simply the interpretation of that information.
