The Anambra state police command has arrested a woman, identified as Nneamaka Nwosu, for setting a policewoman and her two children on f#re at Nnokwa, Idemili South Local Government Area of the State.
Reports have it that the suspect who hails from Amawbia, became homeless after she got divorced from her husband. She approached the policewoman who out of pity offered to accommodate her.
The lady recently had an altercation with the policewoman, which culminated in a f#ght. In ang£r, the suspect allegedly h#t the policewoman on the head with pestl£, causing her to become unconscious. The suspect allegedly then ti£d the policewoman and her children with rop£ inside their room, after which she set them ablaz£.
The policewoman and her children didn’t survive the tragic ordeal as they b¥rnt to d£ath.
At her arrest, the suspect initially claimed that it was a gas cylinder that expl@ded when the woman and her children were boiling h@t water. After much interrogation, she allegedly confessed to the crim£ and explained how she committed everything. She also narrated how she b¥rnt them alive.
The suspect claimed that it was the handiwork of the devil, and said she didn’t know what came over her that made her commit such crim£. She added that she deserves to be sh@t de@d for having perpetrated such a wick£d act against the person who helped her in her time of need.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said the bodies of the policewoman and her children have been deposited at the mort¥ary.
