At the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima presented the acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, with his new position.
Recall that the Deputy Inspector General of Police, was the acting IGP prior to President Bola Tinubu’s appointment on Monday.
Usman Alkali Baba, the former IGP, and the wife of the current IGP were there when the decoration was completed.
President Tinubu left the country to attend a summit on a new global financial treaty in Paris, France, before receiving his decoration, and the acting IGP was at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to see him off.
The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and others were present at the brief decoration ceremony.
