A seven-year-old girl in Adamawa State identified as Angela David, who was br¥t@lised by a housewife named Maryam Mohammed, for failing to carry out domestic chores has been diagnosed with kidney enl@rg£ment.
According to Sahara Reporters, the Nigeria Police Force had arrested Mohammed for br¥talising the seven-year-old girl who was kept in her care in May 2023 after she allegedly used an electric cable to b£at the minor, thereby inflicting inj¥ries on her. She was said to have been ang£red by the victim’s inability to do some domestic chores.
Signs of being br¥talised could be seen on the victim’s head down to her back and knees at the time of the report on the matter.
The victim was first taken to Bakari Bole Clinic, Shagari low-cost, in the Yola South Local Government Area but later moved to Specialist Hospital in the city. The result of the scan carried out on David suggests that due to the severity of the inj¥ries, her right kidney had become enlarged.
