SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokeswoman for the Lagos State Police Command, has responded to a viral video showing some police officers dra€€ing and tort¥ring a suspected yahoo boy, preventing him from using his phone to make calls.
Mr. Hundeyin responded by stating that the narrative of the guy who created the video is false and that the Isashi area of Lagos State is one of the region’s cul¥ism hotspots. He continued by pointing out that it is also well-known that those in c#lts heavily utilize dr#gs; therefore, if three young males were being searched at random and had dr#gs on them, more investigation would be warranted.
He also made it apparent that he was unable to make calls and that no one had attempted to take his phone from him. He added that the case is mostly about a fel%ny and c#lt, and that persons who are detained in such circumstances aren’t allowed to phone right afterwards to avoid alerting their gang members and causing them to destroy the evidence.
