Over 200 South African firefighters reportedly storm Canada to assist with f#ghting the wildfir£

After arriving in Edmonton, Canada, to assist in putting out wildf#res in the province of Alberta, South African firemen performed songs and dances at the airport. The 200 firemen and 15 managers from the Working on F#re Programme of the South African Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment are anticipated to stay for a number of weeks to assist in putting out the fires.

This occurs at a time when wildf#res of unprecedented size and intensity have destroyed millions of hectares of Canadian woods and driven thousands of Canadians from their homes. The country is faced with a logistical nightmare since there are so many out-of-control f#res and no relief in sight.
