A Dubai-based lady has disclosed how a man who earns N200k/ yr as asked her to quit her N34 million/yr job for love.
She claims that a man in Nigeria who is acquainted with her family inquired if it would be okay for him to approach her parents about marriage, but she refused because she had no desire in doing so. He concentrated on the money aspect of her response when he questioned why, and she simply stated that they were not in the same financial position and that she didn’t think it was fair to both of them.
She is not prepared to curtail her lifestyle, and he shouldn’t be under any obligation to make more money. She firmly refused when he asked if she would quit her job for love. She continued by saying that she adores her profession and that it helps to define who she is as a person and offers her happiness. Additionally, it is a part of my own brand, thus it cannot be removed.
Then, after claiming that her justification was unfounded, he revealed to her the range of his annual naira income, which was between 100,000 and 200,000. She accepted this as acceptable, and he continued by saying that. He said that she cannot make more money than him despite her mentioning her yearly salary in naira, which ranges from 28 and 34 million. A man is supposed to be the provider, he said, and there is nothing insecure about it. He was then told to go provide for someone in his position.
She added, “He can’t support me, so he said he’ll report me to my family.”
