Unknown g¥nmen have reportedly abd¥cted two women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.
The women, identified as Birnin Gwari APC woman leader, Hajiya Lami Awarware, and her assistant, Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu, were reportedly kidn@pped along Manini flashpoint of Birnin Gwari LGA of the state.
They were said to be on their way back home after attending the inauguration ceremony of the new Governor of the state, Senator Uba Sani, on Monday, May 29.
Chairman of Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union (BEPU), Ishaq Usman Kasai, disclosed this during an interview with journalists in Kaduna on Wednesday, May 31.
According to him, the bandits blocked the road and kidn@pped the two APC women leaders alongside scores of others.
He said the victims were kidn@pped on Tuesday and were taken to the forest by their abd¥ctors.
The BEPU chairman, however, said the kidnppers were yet to make contact with families of the victims neither have they made any ransom demand on any of the victims.
