President Muhammadu Buhari emphasized in his final address to the country on Sunday that God chose the victor of the February 25, 2023, presidential election in Nigeria.
The speech marked the conclusion of his term as the 15th President of Nigeria and gave him the chance to express gratitude to the populace and consider his two terms in office.
President Buhari recognized the efforts made by other candidates in his speech from the Presidential Villa in Abuja, but stressed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, was the best person to govern Nigeria and was lawfully elected.
He also liked the fact that candidates who lost the election went to court to request restitution. The electoral process he is leaving behind ensures that ballots are counted, results are reliable, and elections are fair and transparent, he added.
