The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a heavily pregnant woman, identified as Eucheria Ndigwe, 30, for allegedly st@bbing her maid with a knif£ for failure to wash a bag.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, May 19, at Adaloko, in Ojo LGA of the state.
The teenage girl, who identified herself as Chinaza Anienene, from Anambra State, was captured in a trending video with an open w%und with bl%%d gushing out from the left side of her body.
The video was filmed and shared by a concerned neighbor, who also narrated the incessant inhum@n treatment that the girl has been subjected to.
According to him, the girl doesn’t go to school sometimes because of house chores. He added that he’s being thr£atened by the suspect’s husband, Mr. Ndigwe, for daring to raise an alarm over the victim’s plight.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the suspect’s arrest in a statement on Saturday, May 20.
“The woman was arrested. It was discovered that she is heavily pregnant and was transferred to the Gender Unit of the command where they will work with the Lagos State Domestic, S€xual and Gender Viol€nce Agency.
While she is there, they will take care of her medically while the investigation is ongoing,” he said.
