South African DJ, Maphorisa, arrested for allegedly a§§aulting his actress girlfriend

South African Disc Jockey, Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, also known as DJ Maphorisa, has been arrested for allegedly att@cking his actress girlfriend, Thuli Phongolo.

According to City Press, the Amapiano music producer was reported to the police by Phongolo after the domestic incident which happened at her Sandton apartment in Johannesburg.

In her statement at the Sandton police station, the legacy actress said the f#ght started when she confronted her Maphorisa about their heated argument from the previous night. Phongolo, who also works as a club DJ, alleged that her boyfriend became age§§ive and sl@pped her in the face.

“On Sunday 2023/5/7 at about noon, I was at my place of residence with my boyfriend, Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, better known as DJ Maphorisa. I confronted him so that we can talk about our argument, which happened the previous night during his gig. He became aggre§§ive and started to p#nch me with his fists on my chest. He held me and took me to the balcony, and grabbed me aggre§§ively in my neck” said Phongolo in the statement.

She claimed that at some point during the a§§ault, her boyfriend took her phone, but later gave it back. She then called her manager, who took her to the police station, where she opened a domestic ab¥se case against him.J
