The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three members of a robb€ry syndicate who allegedly invaded the Computer Village in Abeokuta and k#lled one trader on April 12, 2023.

The suspects, identified as Ajayi Kayode, Habeeb Idowu, and Temitayo Oresanya, were arrested on Saturday, May 5, at their hideout in the Abule Ake area of Kemta.

Speaking in a statement on Sunday, the command’s image maker, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspects raided a phone and accessories market, Tarmac, in broad daylight on April 12 and k#lled one of the traders after carting away several highly-valued phones.

“Two of the suspects have confessed their participation in the robb£ry incident, while the third suspect, Temitayo Oresanya, though affirmed to be a member of the same c¥lt group with them, claimed that he didn’t participate in the robb€ry.

Oresanya stated further that Ajayi Kayode and Habeeb Idowu came to his house at Abule Ake to hide from the police after their robb€ry escapade,” he said.

It had also been reported that one trader was k#lled by an eight-man gang which fir€d g¥nshots, causing people to scamper for safety.

The traders later gathered courage, pursued the robb€rs, and grabbed one of them.
