Nine d£ad, seven inj¥red after g¥nman op£ned fir£ at a mall in the U.S.

A g¥nman has k#lled eight people and inj¥red seven others in a mass sh%%ting at a shopping mall in Texas, USA on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

The yet-to-be-named man was said to have stepped out of a silver sedan and opened f+re at the Premium Outlets mall. He was sh%t d€ad by a police officer who happened to be nearby, authorities said.

The Allen fire chief, Jonathan Boyd, said six people di€d at the scene and two more were pronounced d€ad on arrival at the hospital. Three out of the seven people inj¥red are in a critical conditions.

Dashcam video that circulated online showed the g¥nman step out of a vehicle outside the mall and immediately start sh%%ting at people on the sidewalk. More than three dozen sh%ts could be heard as the vehicle recording the video drove off.

An Allen police officer was in the area on an unrelated call when he heard sh%ts at 3.36pm, the police department said in a statement.

“The officer engaged the suspect and neutralized the thr£at. He then called for emergency personnel,” the agency said.
