#JusticeForOyindamolaAdeyemi: I only bought her two l£gs for N20k, I didn’t k#ll her — Suspected ritu@list

Ifasoji Ayangbesan, a 35-year-old suspected ritu@list, who was arrested for allegedly k#lling and di§m€mbering one Oyindamola Adeyemi, has explained how he bought the victim’s legs at the rate of N20,000.

The suspect, who had been on the run since January when his other accomplices were arrested, was accused of bribing policemen with N1 million last week.

He was paraded alongside other 12 suspects at the state Police command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta on Wednesday, May 3.

According to him, “I truly bought two fresh hum@n legs, but I was not involved in the m¥rder of the victim. I was approached by my friend, Lukman, who told me he had a pair of legs to s£ll. I told him I did not need them, but he convinced me to use them for rit¥al to better my life, and I agreed.

When I told him I was not taught how to make money rit¥als as a traditionalist, he referred me to one of his friends Oye, popularly known as Egbeji in Isiwo.

After learning from that his friend, I b¥rnt the legs and kept same, with plans to complete the rit¥al when I returned from Ajah.

But, my daughter called me while I was at Ajah that policemen came to search for me. So, I later sneaked in and took away the b¥rnt legs so that I would not be caught with any evidence.

I did not offer the police any bribe. When I heard that the police were on the lookout for me, a lawyer told me to get N10 million to set myself free, but I told him I could not raise the money. However, I was able to raise N1 million.

Unfortunately for me, the lawyer claimed that I had informed someone about him asking me for money. He then instructed me to place the money in front of him and he took a picture, and then I was arrested. I never offered police money.”
