Baker has revealed why she stopped being a Christian and praying to God.
One of the reasons she left being a Christian, according to her, was eventually realizing that God has his favorites and no matter how much you prayed or believed if you are not His favorite your prayers will not be granted. She stated this was in addition to the things she observed inside the churches.
She also talks about how, as a youngster, she was always told to pray and ask God for everything she needed, and He would provide it, but she didn’t have many requests to make, and every single thing she requested for was denied to her.
She was particularly heartbroken because she firmly believed that God was meant to love everyone equally. According to the Bible, which states that God will show mercy on whomever he will show mercy on, she said, growing up with repeated unanswered pleas finally resulted in action on his behalf.
She also remembered a time when, despite passing the exam with flying colors, her admittance spot was given to someone else because her father refused to pay a bribe.
But she ended by stating that if God couldn’t fulfill her mother’s request, who devoted her life to serving Him, how much more will she, who isn’t His favorite?
