A deacon with one of the churches in Benue State, Kelvin Iorfa, has been arrested for a§§aulting a woman.
It is reported that the suspect a§§aulted the victim- his sister – just because she pleaded with him to cease the incessant domestic vi#l£nc£ he unleashed on his wife.
In a video circulating online, the suspect can be seen fl%gging the victim while she scr£amed, “the bl@@d of Jesus’ till she sl¥mped. The video sparked outrage on social media with many calling for his arrest. According to Benue activist, Ukan Kurugh, the arrest was facilitated by his friend, Mr. Jenkins Tar.
Upon his arrest, Kelvin claimed he was under “a spell and spiritual att@ck’ which made him not to know he was doing. He further claimed he was surprised to see himself b£ating his younger sister.
However, image-maker of the command, Catherine Anene, who confirmed his arrest on Tuesday morning, April 11, 2023, said the suspect is yet to be interrogated.
