PDP’s Bala Mohammed re-elected as governor of Bauchi State after polling 525,281 votes

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State the winner of the gubernatorial election held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Governor Bala of the PDP polled a total of 525,281 votes against that of the APC’s Air Marshall Saddique Abubakar who scored 432,272 votes.

The returning officer, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, who announced the result on Monday morning, March 20, said that Governor Bala won in 15 local government areas out of the 20 LGAs of the State.

“That Mohammed Bala Abdulkadir of PDP having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby returned elected,” he said.
