APC’s Ahmed Aliyu wins Sokoto governorship election with a total of 453,661 votes

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Aliyu, has been declared the winner of the governorship election which held on Saturday, March 18, in Sokoto State.

This was announced by the State Collation Officer, Bichi Amaya’u, on Sunday, March 19.

According to Amaya’u, Aliyu polled a total of 453,661 votes to defeat his closest rival, Saidu Umar of the PDP, who polled a total vote of 404,632.
