At least one person was reportedly k#lled when unknown g¥nmen att@cked multiple communities in Enugu East LGA of Enugu State, on Monday morning, March 6, 2023.
It was gathered that several vehicles including two Siennas, two saloon cars, a Toyota SUV, a mini-bus and five tricycles,
were also set abl@ze during the multiple att@cks that occurred at about 5 a.m.
Premium Times reports that the g¥nmen were said to be enforcing the controversial Monday sit-at-home declared by a faction of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
According to the report, the hoodlums first att@cked and set abl@ze two saloon cars at the popular T-Junction in the council area at about 5:30 a.m.
The g¥nmen also got to Harmony Road, Umuchigbo, a community in the council area, where they set abl@ze a minibus and a Toyota SUV, about 10 minutes later.
At a motor park in Liberty, Abakpa-Nike, another community in the council area, the hoodlums also razed two Sienna vehicles and five tricycles otherwise known as Keke-Napep.
During the att@ck at the T-Junction, a man who declined to step out of the vehicle, was reportedly b¥rnt alive in the vehicle by the g¥nmen.
“They stopped the man and commanded him to step out of the car, the man resisted and that made the g¥nmen open the fuel tank, and sh%t into the tank causing the car to go up in fl@mes with the man inside,” a source said.
