We’ll shut down any bank that refuses to accept old Naira notes – Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has said banks that refuses to accept old Naira notes will be shut down.

This was disclosed by the Governor of Ogun State in light of the dearth of fresh Naira bills. We would close down any commercial bank running in Ogun State that won’t take old naira bills, he declared.

Despite the Central Bank of Nigeria’s declaration that old Naira notes are no longer valid tender, the Governor of Ogun State has warned banks to collect old Naira notes from customers who bring them into banks since there aren’t enough new notes to go around.
