Market women in Benin, Edo State rolled on the floor as they protest over the scarcity of the new Naira notes.
All people of the nation have faced an inescapable dilemma due to the lack of fresh Naira notes, which has made it incredibly impossible to conduct business, buy food, or complete any other transaction. However, the Central Bank of Nigeria announced that old Naira notes were no longer valid forms of payment, which in no way has benefited local traders and market women.
However, the market ladies took to the streets as a protest against the lack of money to demonstrate their unacceptable behavior. As demonstrators sang and chanted incessantly on the expressway, it was difficult for cars to move.
