A lecturer with Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, Dr Anthony Eze, has been sh@t and k#lled by unknown g¥nmen who invaded his home on Tuesday morning, February 7.
Dr Eze, a lecturer with the faculty of education, was driving out of his residence at Ifite Awka, to take his children to school, when the unknown g¥nmen opened fire on him.
DailyTrust reports that the deceased allegedly attempted to flee but was chased and g¥nned down.
According to an eyewitness, “We were here this morning when Dr Eze was driving out of his house and suddenly a Toyota Corolla salon car pulled towards the entrance of his house and when he tried to drive back, they followed him and sh@t him in the chest. We ran away.
We rushed him to the General Hospital, Amaku, and the doctor at the hospital confirmed that he was d£ad.”
