A 35-year-old Nigerian man living in Guyana, Bethel Ikenna Chimezie, has been hospitalized after being sh@t while attempting to forcefully gain entrance into the country’s president’s residence.
The suspect, who works at a cleaning service firm, was said to have walked into the state house in Georgetown, the country’s capital, on Thursday, December 15, and demanded to speak with the president.
It was gathered that when he wasn’t allowed to go in, he drew out a knife and st@bbed a security guard five times in the neck and other body parts.
He also reportedly grabbed another guard’s service pistol and fir£d several rounds at the men guarding the residence before he was sh@t.
Jamaica Observer reports that after the incident, Wendell Blanhum, a deputy police commissioner in the country, said the Guyanese force had asked the INTERPOL for a comprehensive background check on Chimezie to confirm whether he had any criminal history, or whether he was linked to any criminal group.
The Nigerian is said to be unconscious even after undergoing a surgery as a result of the inj¥ries he sustained.
