Bike rider arrested for l%cking up his wife, tort¥ring her for nearly a year and attempting to use her for money rit¥al

A yet-to-be-identified bike rider has been arrested by the police in Delta State over alleged attempt to k#ll his wife, identified simply as Onyinyechi, for rit¥al purposes.

It was gathered that the suspect was arrested on Monday, November 28, at his residence in Ozoro area of the state.

He was arrested alongside a female herbalist after it was discovered that he l%cked his wife up for over eight months and subjected her to all sort of tort¥re.

The couple, it was learnt, got married in Enugu State in March, 2022 shortly after they met.

According to a source, “For the past eight months the man locked his wife inside their one room apartment. That was where she had her bath, toilet, eat and all. He collected her phone so that she won’t call anyone. He also used handkerchief to cover her mouth to prevent her from shouting or calling for help.

He used to tort¥re her whenever he likes but unfortunately for him, when he was be@ting her last night, a neighbor heard and raised an alarm.

Before help could get to her he has covered her mouth with an handkerchief and ti£d her legs and hands with wrapper, and also used a black nylon to cov£r her face. I think he wanted to k#ll her at that moment, but the neighbor raised an alarm and people broke into the house before he could do it.

Nobody had an idea that someone was even in that house because there’s no window there. It’s really shocking how no member of the lady’s family cared to look for her in the over eight months that she was locked up.

I think he works with one female herbalist too because I heard they arrested both of them.”
