The police in Anambra State have arrested a 28-year-old man, identified as Ozoemena Rapheal, for allegedly st@bbing his friend and flatmate to de@th in Nkwelle, Ezunaka area of the state.
The suspect, a Dubai returnee, was arrested in October after he allegedly st@bbed the deceased, a businessman identified as Ejike, on his chest and neck, leading to his de@th.
It was gathered that both the suspect and the deceased were best friends who share an apartment, where the unfortunate incident occurred.
According to a source, “It happened around 12 midnight. Their landlord had heard noise coming from their apartment but when he went to check, the suspect told him that the nose wasn’t coming from there. The landlord asked of the deceased and the suspect told him the deceased wasn’t around.
The landlord suspected something was wrong, so he instructed the gateman not to allow anyone out of the house in the morning.
In the morning, security operatives were invited to search the entire compound. It was discovered that the suspect k#lled the victim and hid his co¥pse under their bed.
He confessed that he st@bbed his friend while they were fi#hting and even offered the security operatives the sum of N2million to k#ll the case.
He was, however, arrested and taking to the station while his friend’s body was deposited in the mortuary.”
