Nigerian-born Azubuike becomes a General in the U.S Army

A United States Army officer of Nigerian descent, Amanda Azubuike, has been promoted to Brigadier General of the force.

The Commanding General. United States Army Cadet Command, Maj. Gen. Antonio V. Munera, disclosed this on Thursday morning, November 3.

Amanda, whose father and mother hail from Nigeria and Zimbabwe, serves at a military base in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Born in London, United Kingdom, she joined the military in 1994 and became an aviator after passing the Army Aviation Officer Basic Course.
