Anambra State Police Command has arrested three young boys who allegedly gang-r@ped their neighbor’s 13-year-old daughter in Enekwesumpu Nkpor, Idemili North LGA of the state.
The arrested suspects, identified simply as Sunday, Emelie, Chiedu and one other currently at large, are co-tenants of the victim’s father.
They were arrested by officials of the National Agency For Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP) alongside Anambra Vigilante Group security operatives following a complaint made by the victim.
The victim said the suspects took her to Nkisi river and r@ped her after they had an altercation with her father.
According to her, they sl@pped and dr@gged her to the river, where they ordered her to r€move her clothes and then took turns to have carnal knowledge of her.
During interrogation, two of the suspects admitted to the crime and pleaded for forgiveness stating that they did it due to the disagreement they had with her father.
While the third suspect claimed he was only present when the incident happened but didn’t participate. A claim the victim denied, stating that he was the second person to have carnal knowledge of her.
