A man identified as Ifeanyi Akeme and his accomplice, Chinedu Enyinnaya, have been arrested for a§§aulting a police officer along Okota Road, Cele Bus stop, Lagos.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Lagos police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police officer identified as Inspector Rowland Uankhehi, was be@ten by the suspects on Friday, September 16, when he arrested a recalcitrant motorcycle rider.
He sustained various degree of inj¥ries before he was rescued and taken to a hospital for medical treatment. However, Benjamin noted that the suspects are chilling in police custody and will face the full wrath of the law.
