Media personality Farida, has revealed how pretending not to understand Hausa helped her to escape being kidn@pped.
She said she used Uber for her transportation to her work place at Wuse from New Karo, but on this day none was available, so she decided to use the normal cab in Abuja.
The one she got had a man in front and a woman at the back, so she assumed it will be safe not quite long on the drive she saw that the woman was look at her in a certain way, also the driver and the man in front too.
Now man in front spoke in Hausa that they reach there they will stop, she felt the conversation was not about her until the woman said that she is a beautiful lady, to ascertain if she understood Hausa, meanwhile she was feeling sleeping on getting inside the cab.
Later the woman said in Hausa, if you get to that junction you will bring it out, at this point she became afraid but didn’t show it. So she put her hand in her bag to bring out something and she began to scream, so they dropped her and drove off.
