A Lagos-based couple, mr and mrs Adebayo Ayobami, have been remanded in Kirikiri prison for allegedly ass@ulting police officers during a stop and search.
The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, July 25.
According to him, the couple was stopped at Oluwaga-Ipaja on Saturday, July 24, by police officers for not having number plates.
He said that the couple refused to answer questions and instead ass@ulted the police officers.
In a video he shared, Mrs Adebayo who was carrying a baby was seen repeatedly h#tting a policeman.
