A diesel tanker has expl@ded at a motor park in Otto Wharf, Mile 2 area of Lagos state.
The fire reportedly started from a tanker carrying diesel that expl@ded at about 3:44pm on Tuesday, 19 July.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency claims that the organization responded to distress calls at the incident location.
According to a statement by the spokesman of LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and were deployed to extinguish the raging fl@me, as it caused panic in the neighborhood.
He said, “Upon arrival at the scene by the agency response team, a fire outbreak from a fuel tanker and drums was encountered. Emergency responders are currently battling the inferno to contain it. Operation is still ongoing.
