Just In: Actor Baba Ijesha convicted for s#xual assault, sentenced to 16 years in jail

Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, better known as Baba Ijesha, has been sentenced to 16 years imprisonment for s#xually ass@ulting a 14-year-old minor.

He was convicted and sentenced by a Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, July 14.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, s#xual ass@ult and attempted s#xual ass@ult.

Taiwo, however, discharged and acquitted him of count one and count six, which were: s#xual ass@ult by penetration and attempted s#xual ass@ult by penetration.

Recall that the convict was arrested in April, 2021 for s#xually ass@ulting the daughter of his colleague, Damilola Adekoya, aka Princess.
