Former BBN Housemate, Mercy Eke, has addressed critics of her thick Igbo accent when she speaks English, as she makes comparison of herself with Football superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to her, growing up in her home state of Imo State has blessed her with a type of accent which affects her diction in English, but she pointed out that famous superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo also speak English with a certain accent. She says she’s tired of Nigerians expecting her to speak English perfectly.
