A 75-year-old man identified as Vincent Okoye has allegedlybeen released from police custody after he was initially arrested for having s£#ualrelations with an 11-year-old girl.

According to a source, the d#stastefulincident happened on Wednesday, April 27 iin Umueri, Anambra State. “Vincent has been having carnal knowledge with the victim for over a year now and her mother is aware. The victim’s mother is a mistress to the suspect who is a cabinet chief in the community.

According to a confessional video by the girl, she revealed that her mother used to send her on errands to Vincent’s house and would tell her to do as he instructed. She said she’d sometimes sleep over and they’d engage in romp. They were however caught on Wednesday by bricklayers who were working in the next compound.

The bricklayers heard the scream of the young girl and rushed to break into Vincent’s house where he was brought out and interrogated. They taught him a lesson enough to ensure he never thinks of having coitus with anyone before he was handed over to the police. However, we heard he was released on the basis that he’s a chief and was suspended from being a cabinet member by the Igwe of the community.

We need the authorities in the state to legally take up this case and ensure that Vincent doesn’t get away with this. The h#rrible things the victim said he made her do is enough to jail him for life. Vincent shouldn’t be walking freely in the community and the girl needs urgent therapy,” the source said.
