A married woman, Funmilola Osundare, has been hospitalized after she was allegedly but#hered by her boyfriend, a suspected ritu@list in Akure, Ondo State.

Funmilola, who has a 12-year-old son, reportedly visited the suspect at his house in ljapo. She had reportedly stayed for three days when he suddenly att#cked her with a machete.

It was gathered that she sustained varying degrees of matchet c#ts on her face, shoulders and hands.

According to Vanguard, her cries for help attracted the neighbours who invited operatives of the state security outfit codenamed Amotekun.

The suspect fled while the neighbours rushed the victim to the Police Clinic for treatment where she was rejected and referred to the University of Medical Sciences, Teaching Hospital, Akure.

The fleeing suspect is yet to be identified but his neighbours said he is a footballer.
