Two audacious police officers arrested for ext#rting motorcyclists

The Plateau State Police Command says it has arrested two of its officers who were captured in a viral video allegedly ext#rting motorcyclists in Wase Council area of the state.

The erring officers from 66 PMF have been identified as AP/NO302376/INSP. Salihu Garba and AP/NO302444 INS John Godwin.

The mobile policemen were seen allegedly forcefully collecting bribes from motorcyclists along Kadarko Road on April 16, 2022.

According to the command’s spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Ubah Ogaba, “The policemen have been arrested, detained and are undergoing trial to serve as a deterrent to other erring officers.”
