- The Nigerian police spokesman, Adejobi has told Nigerians to stop paying police officers who try to extort them.
Reacting to a twitter user who was extorted to the tune of N292,000 after being intimidated, the spokesman used the opportunity to give his remark on police extortion. He simply stated that such officers shouldn’t be paid.
Another user reminded the PPRO that the police may use diverse forms of intimidation or even murder just to extort money from civilians of which the spokesman still stood his ground so that it wouldn’t become a tradition.
