A 30-year-old woman, Cynthia Olukiowu, has been arrested for st#bbing one Habeeb Aremu, an 18-year-old nephew of her husband to de#th over a broken mirror.
The woman was arrested on Saturday by policemen attached to Agbado Divisional Headquarters following report that a boy had been st#bbed on the neck by his uncle’s wife at their residence in Jafa Agbado in Ogun State.
It was learnt that a misunderstanding ensued between the two when a mirror being used in the house got broken and the deceased was alleged to have broken it.
The allegation led to a heated disagreement between the deceased and his uncle’s wife, forcing the woman to pull a kitchen knife to st#b him on the neck. He reportedly slumped and d!ed afterwards.
The Ogun Police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement said the victim was found in a pool of his bl#od and rushed to a hospital but confirmed de#d by the doctor on duty. According to him, his corpse was deposited at Ifo general hospital mortuary for autopsy.
