The police in Delta State has arrested one Paul Ogilo, 26, in connection with the alleged k!lling of a 29-year-old man, identified as Twere Shipiode, in Ughelli area of the state.
The suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the Divisional Police Officer in Otu-Jeremi police Division, reporting that a man had been st#bbed to d#ath at Otu-jeremi community.
The DPO reportedly mobilized and led Police patrol teams to the scene where the lifeless body of the man was found in the pool of his bl#od and the house deserted.
According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, “Investigations revealed that there was an altercation between the deceased and the suspect.
Upon an intelligence-led investigation, the suspect was trailed to an uncompleted building in Otu-Jeremi where he was seen with a kitchen knife suspected to have been used in committing the crime and he was immediately arrested.
The suspect, who admitted committing the d#stardly act, said that a f!ght ensued between him and the deceased after the deceased found him in his house and accused him of attempting to defi!e his daughter.
